Linear Sweep vs. Staircase Sweep

ZIVE electrochemical workstation is digital potentiostat/galvanostat. This will use DAC(digital to analog converter) to control value.

1.       Linear Sweep

For this mode, Smart manager will apply sweep mode using each one DAC value increment or decrement  with time duration. This will adjust DAC value and/or time duration (compensation) to meet scan rate which user defined.

This function is for low capacitive sample. Do not use this function for high capacitive sample such as supercapacitor, corrosion, battery etc.

In sequence editor, Linear sweep is;

In technique menu, Linear sweep is;

o    Basic

  Cyclic voltammetry

  Potential sweep

  Current sweep

  Fast potential sweep

o    Echem analysis package

  Linear sweep voltammetry

  Fast CV

  FastLSV

2.       Staircase Sweep

For this mode, Smart manager will apply sweep mode using constant DAC value increment or decrement with constant time duration. Smart Manager calculate DAC increment/decrement value nearby step height(or sampling interval) which user defined and time duration to meet nearby scan rate which user defined.

User can select averaging sampling condition.

This function is for high capacitive sample such as supercapacitor, corrosion, battery etc.
